Programs and talks

The Board of Loving for Life includes Rev Joseph Parkinson STL PhD, Director of the L.J.Goody Bioethics Centre in Perth.   Loving for Life reports to Most Reverend Timothy Costelloe SDB, Archbishop of Perth, and to Bishop Don Sproxton.

All programs are age appropriate, and provide researched, accurate, up to date and relevant material and information, with a Catholic ethos. Our programs and talks sit both within the RE and/or Physical Health and Science curriculum.  They provide a bridge of understanding for students between both subject areas.

All material of a scientific or medical nature is reviewed by the Loving for Life Medical Advisory Board.

All programs are also reviewed by Catholic Education Western Australia, and approved by Fr Joe Parkinson.

Loving for Life programs are delivered by facilitators who fulfil accreditation requirements and ongoing professional development.

Our office can be found at the L.J.Goody Bioethics Centre, Mt Hawthorn,  Perth WA.

The Programs can be presented as one full day or two half day seminars

          'Towards Loving' year 7/8

          'Choosing to Love'  year 9/10

          'Loving Today'  year 11/12

Each program builds on the previous, allowing the material to be expanded as the students mature.

The topics in our 'Healthy Loving' talk series are centred around health and relationships.

The topics can be adapted to include the requirements of a particular school or year group.

These talks are designed to be presented within one class period.

"This is what we are about:  We plant seeds that one day will grow.

We water seeds already planted,

knowing that they hold future promise.

We lay foundations that will need further development.

We provide yeast that produces effects beyond our capabilities."

(Archbishop Oscar Romero)

Great commitment

from the Team,

We really appreciated the effort you make in reaching out to our students.
